JOB DESCRIPTION:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Clean and care for buildings and facilities in order to ensure they are maintained in a safe and healthy manner.

Main Activities:
o Clean offices, meeting chambers and recreational facilities
o Mop tile and concrete floor areas
o Vacuum all carpeted areas
o Dust all furniture and fixtures as required
o Wash and disinfect all washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, hand dryers and fixtures
o Clean all mirrors
o Replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed
o Empty all waste baskets and garbage cans daily
o Place garbage in outside storage bin
o Clean entrance and exit including glass, doors and hardware
o Keep outside area near exit and entrance clear of snow, cans, paper, etc.
o Clean, wash and disinfect drinking fountains
o Wash all finger marks from walls, doors, hardware and glass
o Clean kitchen sinks and counters
o Report damages and acts of vandalism
o Wash entrance and exit floors
o Spot clean walls and toilet partitions

• Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, materials and supplies in a safe and orderly manner in order to ensure the safety of staff and the public.

o Main Activities:
o Secure storage areas
o Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner
o Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and supplies
o Restock materials and supplies
o Make note of the need for equipment repairs

• Perform other related duties as required.
